Competition Rules

Rules apply for all competitions held by Nidaros E-Sport at Nidaros Games. Per-competition specific rules also apply.

§1 Participation

§1.1 All participants must be registered on the correct page for the event.

§1.2 All participants must pay attention to the relevant information applying to each competition. This includes all information on the tournament pages and the Nidaros E-Sport Discord.

§1.3 All participants must be present at the event unless specifically informed otherwise. Nidaros E-Sport may require identification as part of this process. If a participant cannot or will not provide identification, they may be disqualified.

§1.4 A participant cannot be a part of two separate teams within the same competition. If this is the case, the participant will be disqualified.

§1.5 The event is alcohol-free. If a participant possesses or is under the influence of any substance, they will be banned from the event. If a participant has a medical certificate for doping for medical reasons, Nidaros E-Sport may accept participation. Energy drinks, etc., are not considered substances and are therefore allowed.

§1.6 Nidaros E-Sport reserves the right to ban any participant from all tournaments if there is a strong suspicion of cheating, toxic behavior, or unethical conduct.

§2 Attendance

§2.2.1 If a team is not ready 10 minutes before the match starts, they automatically forfeit the match.

§2.2.2 This also applies to competitions with a 1 vs 1 format, meaning a player.

§2.3 If a team is not ready 5 minutes before the match starts multiple times, the same as §2.2 applies.

§3 Cheating and Association to Cheating

§3.1 It is strongly prohibited to commit any act of cheating in a competition. If a participant is caught cheating, they will be immediately disqualified.

§3.2 If participants in competitions are caught being associated with the distribution or possession of cheats in any form, this person will be banned from participation for one year.

§3.3 Bans from VAC, FaceIT, and similar for participants and accounts will lead to a one-year ban. If the participant can prove their innocence, Nidaros E-Sport may consider lifting this.

§3.4 If a participant/account is caught using new aliases/accounts, this will lead to an extension of already existing bans.

§3.5 Teams banned from other events and tournaments due to cheating may be banned from Nidaros E-Sport's competitions at the board's discretion.

§3.6 Equipment that gives advantages over others, such as in the form of macros, hacks, scripts, exploits, etc., is not allowed. This also includes exploiting glitches in the game that are not specifically allowed for the competition.

§3.7 If someone accuses others of cheating without grounds, it can, in the worst case, lead to the disqualification of the accuser if it causes significant disruption to the competition.

§3.8 We reserve the right to extend bans as long as we see fit. The punishment will be assessed based on the severity.

§4 Behavior and Fair Play

§4.1 Bullying in connection with the execution of competitions is not tolerated and can lead to a ban from the tournament.

§4.2 During competitions, it is not allowed to spam or flame the opponent, as this distracts the opponent. If this is done, it can lead to disqualification or loss of the current match (e.g., during a best-of-five set, one of the matches will be lost).

§5 Prizes

§5.1 Prizes are awarded upon signing a contract and subsequent payment to a bank account.

§5.2 We reserve the right to make increases to the prizes until the competitions start.

§5.3 The team leader is responsible for providing the competition leader with the necessary information and signing the contract after the completed tournament.

§5.4 We need to check ID that the name and/or player name/ID registered in the competitions match the personal ID.
